What is the MotionXcellence Sports Performance Lab?
The professional staff within our video motion lab collects information on specific movement patterns & causes of movement to analyze, interpret and recommend specific interventions to reduce injury or enhance athletic performance.

What does testing involve?
Reflective markers are strategically placed on key body locations to capture your movements through a series of specialized high-speed cameras. These cameras work in conjunction with a computer to precisely measure your mechanics and provide a detailed report for analysis with our experts.
How long does an analysis take?
An analysis within the MotionXcellence Sports Performance Lab typically takes between 45 and 60 minutes.
Do I need a referral from a physician?
For athletes, no referral is necessary. For medical usage, a prescription from a physician may be necessary.
Does insurance cover motion analysis?
For athletes, insurance will not cover the analysis. For medical usage, in many cases insurance does cover a percentage of the cost with proper referral and authorization.
What should I bring to my analysis appointment?
For athletes, make sure to bring comfortable form-fitting athletic attire, footwear and any special equipment used for your sport. For medical usage, make sure to bring comfortable form-fitting attire, footwear and any other special equipment (i.e. cane).
When will I know the results?
A future date to review your results will be scheduled for you approximately 1 week following your initial analysis.
